We are humbled to have succeeded in bringing back glory to WA yet again.  Fortuna Advisory Group won the prestigious 2018 SME of the Year award at the India Australia Business & Community Awards (IABCA) held at the Brisbane City Hall on 12th October. Melvyn Gilbert received the award on behalf of the team.

In his acceptance speech, he stressed on the importance of being ambitious while also remembering that there is a human element in all of us that should never be compromised. Among other things he also spoke about Fortuna’s contribution to society through our philanthropic arm – Fortuna Foundation.

The event was graced by Senator the Hon Marise Payne, Minister of Foreign Affairs and High Commissioner of India to Australia – Dr A.M Gondane among others. Also present were many fellow finalists, Industry leaders and key government representatives. The black tie/Indian attire gala award ceremony was inaugurated with the sound of thunderous drums and marked with a blend of Indian-Australian cultural nuances.

The IABCA platform celebrates the Australia-India relationship while honouring entrepreneurship & community leadership from across the nation and with over 300 established businesses in the running, winning this award was indeed a matter of pride.
